The Synology DiskStation DS1621xs+ is a high-performance network-attached storage (NAS) server designed for small and medium-sized businesses that require robust, scalable storage solutions. It is ideal for a wide range of server roles, including iSCSI targets, backup systems, file storage, email servers, and domain controllers. With its powerful Xeon D-1527 processor and 32GB of DDR4 ECC memory, the DS1621xs+ can handle intensive, multi-user workloads with ease. The system includes six 2TB SATA 2.5" SSDs for ultra-fast storage and a 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD for internal solid-state drive storage, providing both speed and capacity. The DS1621xs+ also features a combination of network ports, including two 1GbE LAN ports and one 10GbE LAN port with support for link aggregation and failover, ensuring reliable and high-speed connectivity.

The DS1621xs+ is equipped with advanced file systems such as Btrfs, which is ideal for managing large volumes of data and supporting advanced iSCSI services.
